Background
Mavis Amankwah a former IT technician and consultant in ethnic communities recognised the potential in the ethnic communications market and began researching the opportunity in 2002. After two years of extensive planning, market research and networking, Mavis opened the doors to Rich Visions.
Rich Visions based in Newham was established in June 2002 for test trading purposes and began officially trading in 2004. Following Rich Visions inception, they have carved themselves a place in the communications market in the UK; catering for organisations and blue-chip companies trying to effectively reach African Caribbean, South Asian and Eastern European audiences nationally.
Over the years Rich Visions has evolved into one of the most influential specialist agencies in the UK, working with the likes of the Home Office, DEFRA, Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, Construction Skills, Greater London Authority, HSBC and MoneyGram to name but a few.
2008-11-03HM Revenue & Customs have enlisted the help of Rich Visions to administer a PR and outreach campaign in West Africa, informing travellers that since January 2003, it has been illegal for visitors to bring into the UK all meat/meat products and milk/milk products from most countries outside the European Union (EU).
2008-10-01Rich Visions and consumer and corporate agency Midas PR win Commonwealth Foundation account after presenting a combined pitch team and proposal for the prestigious Commonwealth Writers’ Prize.
2008-09-01The Charity Commission, the independent regulator of Charities in England and Wales, has commissioned Rich Visions to administer a PR campaign to encourage the Muslim community to adopt safer giving during Ramadhan.
